Brian D'Arcy James

I had a wonderful opportunity to see Brian D'Arcy James at my friend Sam Samuelson's theatre in Wilmette.
I have seen Brian perform only two times before this intimate and wonderful concert. I saw him back in the day when he was Claude in a Chicago production of “Hair” and when he was in “Blood Brothers” with Sam on Broadway. I remembered him having a good voice in “Hair” but that was SO long ago.
He truly is one of the great Broadway male vocalists and a great guy too.
I was DEFINITELY chomping at the cabaret bit after seeing this. I just want to get up and SING!!!!
I enjoy seeing performers like this. This is someone seasoned, celebrated and it was very interesting to watch him and see the choices he made during his show.
It was simple, effortless... just a bunch of songs. The through-line was simple... it was an evening with Brian!
Go to iTunes and you can look him up and hear him sing, “Unusual Way” from Nine. Oh... and p.s... I designed the poster :-)
