The Antoinette Perry Awards...

Ah, the gay superbowl... but then Jason corrected me saying that it was the gay world series because the Oscars was the gay superbowl. Why I even had to compare it to sports...

ANYWAY, I thought it was a good show except whoever was filming it was an idiot. “Pull the camera back!!” I shouted at the tv. And zooming in on Fantasia's orange stained tongue... come on! She is a magnificent performer, let's see a three quarter shot and then every once in awhile zoom in. But the camera work made most everyone look like a singing head. Don't forget that Broadway involves the entire body.

So happy that both Mary Louise Wilson and Christine Ebersol won. I have to get to NYC to see this show.

I had not heard anything from “Spring Awakening” and had no idea what it was about... NOW after seeing the showcased musical number(s) I get what the noise is about. The choreography was cool. The writer/lyricist guy was annoying.

Frank Langellas speech was historic.

Angela Lansbury is the mother of all theatre folk.

Bernadette as much as she annoys me made me laugh. Harvey... what can I say?

Mary Poppins.
I am such a die hard lover of the movie that I just felt like the whole thing was stupid. Sorry.
Although, I want the umbrella.

Loved Christine Ebersol. Loved the magnifying glass.

Marcia Gay Harden had on a very interesting outfit. Less was not more as far as she was concerned.

What in god's name was Anne Heche doing there?

I loved what's his name from scrubs.

Didn't really care for “Curtains” but loved David Hyde Pierces speech upon winning his Tony.

I loved the John Mahoney/Jane Krakowski speech.

I was glad they didn't show too much of “Legally Blonde.” Like, who cares?
