Michael Buble appeared on Idol last week, substituting for Tony Bennett who had the flu. Since his appearance it has been mildy amusing to me to read about all the speculations from the various vultures out there.
Some think he was drunk. Alot of people though he was drunk. So I looked up to see if it was any kind of official scandal but no, just speculation from a tidal wave of blogophiles. I remember when watching it that I got the feeling he wasn't really into it. But I had never seen him sing live before (aside from the wonderful Tony Bennett special last December) and I just figured it was his laid back lounge crooner style. But a lot of people thought he was drunk and the rumor was spreading like wildfire. There also was speculation that he was having a riff with Mr. Bennett. Now, if he and Tony are fighting, (boys... boys!!!) why on earth would Buble be his substitute? Maybe his people (I refuse to use the word peeps) thought it would really irk Tony if Michale pulled an Eve Harrington on him. Yeah, that's it... and that's why Buble sang the song, “Call Me Irresponsible.” He was MOCKING Tony, a living legend sick with the flu on national television AND he was drunk too!
See? Even I can convince myself that all that I have typed is true. True, true, truuuuuooooooooooooooouuuuuue.
Buble also made “The Bulge report” (a feature on a gay website I um, stumbled upon one day while googling about Poultry...)This website features male celebrities pants crotches blown up so you can observe and scrutinize. I mean, come on, if I have to be subjected to Britney's “Puddy Tat” as jibjab amusingly called it, I need to come to my senses with something I would rather see.
So Michael Bulge... I mean Buble was mean to Tony Bennett, DRUNK and exposing himself. ON LIVE TELEVISION!!!!
