Sat through the rather boring Oscars. Thought it would be better. It was weird and low key. The opening set the tone and it made me afraid... afraid of the boredom I was set to face. I did like the silhouette dancing people. I did like that Ms. Hudson won and I loved her last little clip as the orchestra swelled... “oh and Jennifer Holliday too!” She probably saw her up on that roof singing and thought, “Oh lord almighty, ok... I'll mention her name... sheeesh!”
I loved Rachel Weiss dress the very most.
It looked like Reese Witherspoon had a chin implant.
What was with Philip Seymour Hoffman's hair?
I had no idea it was Jack Nicholson until about three quarters of the way into the show.
The thing with Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and then Meryl was hysterical.
The thing with Jack Black and his cohorts was odd but entertaining.
I thought Ellen was dull and it surprises me to even type that.
I did like when she went into the audience and I liked the vacuuming bit.
I loved seeing the very early clip of Jane Wyatt in the memorial section. It makes you realize how lengthy careers were...
Jennifer was surprisingly stiff during the medley with the other powerhouse gals. I thought Beyonce really took the stage and the moment. It was an exciting example of seizing the spotlight. But where her voice stops, Jennifers just goes and goes... watching the Barbara Walters special, when Jennifer sang to her... I had goosebumps on goosebumps and welled up with tears. I love how singers can do that to you.
Very happy to see Melissa Etheredge become an Oscar winning songwriter.
Leo Dicaprio is the golden boy of the century. What a great man he is and will continue to become.
I want to take adorable Martin Scorsese home and put him up on my shelf.
