So, smoking is pretty much taboo now. I mean, if they are not allowed to smoke in public places in PARIS, well then it looks like the ban is cementing itself in stone. (Is that the correct phrase? It didn't sound right) Anyway, smoking is bad. And people who smoke, stop just tossing your butts on the ground. Eat them. We don't want cigarette butts everywhere. It's odd to me that you can get a fine for littering, but tossing butts on the ground goes unnoticed.
ANYWAY, the point of this blurb is that if we are banning cigarette smoking, let's also ban tabloids from being sold at store check out counters. Put them back there with all the other magazines. I hate that every time I go to the store, I have to stand in line and see what all the stupid Jessica's and Britneys and Lindsays are up to. WHO cares? What scares me is that the power of those tabloids can hypnotize you and make you THINK it's important and interesting.
It's irritating and negative to look at. It's forced on us at checkout counters and I think something should be done about it.
