Ric's british word of the week!

My friend Ric, who lives in Mexico city with his wife Libby, is from England. We always have such a great time with him and the words and phrases he uses are always interesting and entertaining. Whenever I am around him I can't stop talking like Mary Poppins (to his amusement). So to appease us when he is away, he sends us a british word of the week. Last weeks word:

higgledy piggledy (it means that everything is muddled!)I will use it properly in a sentence: Oh dear, with all the crowds and mayhem, it was absolute higgeldy piggledy in the loop this evening.
This weeks word sent via his e-mail:

hello there my yankee friends! (i hope that is not offensive!)
And welcome to yet another edition of 'British Word of the Week'.
(yes i know you must be so excited)

Here it is:

crikey! (an expression of surprise or shock)

I will use it properly in a sentence: Crikey! It was a zoo downtown! Never seen so many people!

Spit spot!
