Valley City, North Dakota

Jason and I spent the weekend in his home town of Valley City, North Dakota.
First of all, it's not a city. It's a town... a charming town. The kind of town where you feel like you woke up in the 1950's. Nothing super cutesy or quaint... they don't regard themselves as a cute little old fashioned town, it's just a town. A town with stores you can actually go to downtown. Although I think Pamida has sucked some of the downtown dry. Maybe more than I know.
Jason and I took late night walks. It was so QUIET! And the air was so fresh.
Points of interest:
Neat and tidy. No garbage lying around anywhere. No pigeons. No rats. Atleast not where I could see.
NO McDONALDS!!! Can you believe it. Good for them. Although they DO have a DQ Brazier and a Burger King.
CUTE library. I wanted to go in and smell it. I love the smell of an authentic, been around forever library.

We are going up for Christmas... and I think you can actually still SAY Christmas up there.
