I have sobbed crying during live theatre only three times. The first time was in College watching a production of “Anne Frank.” The second time was watching Esther Rolle at the end of the first act of “A Raisin in the Sun.” And now, the third time, second act as Little Edie sings, “Another Winter in a Summer Town.”
And I am NOT a cryer. I have a very limited crying range. A handful of old movies, the hospital scene in “Terms of Endearment” and these three moments of Theatre. It's not that I am stingy with my crying, I have just rarely been as moved as I was when I saw this show.

It was just the greatest thing EVER. That is my review. Here is how it looks on the show poster...
I love Broadway. There really is nothing like watching a live show and feeling the energy in the room. Because Christine had recently won the Tony, the audience of course went nuts when she made her entrance. Unfortunately, if you haven't seen it, you have just minutes to see it... it closes at the end of the month. Although (and I hope this is true) they may go on a limited tour. A teeny tiny limited tour. I think it's going to happen because I have this feeling that I am going to see it again with the same cast.
Congrats to a wonderful company, proving again that New York, Broadway theatre is the best there is.
