I brought Parker, cute kitten deluxe home yesterday. Out he popped from the fashionable cat carrier and the world changed forever for Sam, Isabelle and George... well, George could really care less. I was quite surprised by that actually!
It has been like the National Geographic Channel ever since.
Sam hissing.
You rarely see this big lovable tomcat hiss. It's kind of a wimpy hiss, well it was wimpy at first but after some practice, he really has it going on now. Scary. But I know he's faking.
Isabelle's experience will be recreated in a made for tv movie starring Sally Field. She cowers behind the humidifier making the most god awful sounds. I can almost hear her hissing, “all the people, all the people, all the people...”
I try to be the happy den mom ringleader. “Be friends! Be nice!” “Come on Sam, look at him, he's just a cute little Kitten... isn't he cute?” Sam growls a low rumble and let's out a very well rehearsed and dramatic hiss. He has not yet come down from the kitchen counter. (Bert Lahr to the stage... Bert Lahr to the stage...)
So bedtime rolled around and Parker happily jumps way up onto the bed. He's pretty good at jumping! And so now the other cats, Sam especially is very pissed and jealous. “What in (Sams) name is he doing?” Sam thinks. He sits in his favorite cardboard box and stares. He is just pissed. He usually climbs up into bed and is all cuddly and loving. Not tonight. Because I have that NEW baby cat in my bed. Sam thinks, “Hey! I'm supposed to sneeze in Rob's face!”
Morning comes around and Parker is definitely a morning kitty. Bouncy, pouncy, fun fun fun... I feed them. Sam is suddenly very interested in Parker... his food atleast.
