Hardrock, Coco and Joe

This is indescribable... if you grew up in the Chicago area in the 1960's, you were one of the lucky ones who got to see this cartoon in December. It was usually featured on Garfield Goose and The Ray Raynor show. I would imagine that some people will think it's corny and out of date, but this short cartoon brings back such a flood of Christmas memories... a yuletied Tsunami if you will.
Sigh.

It makes me think of the following things:

Corduroys pants rubbing together and making that funny sound as I trekked through the snow with my earmuffs on, making the sound kind of muffled. The faster I'd walk or run, the higher pitch sound it would make.

Sleeping with ALL of my stuffed animals around me.

Using a cookie sheet and pretending it was Santa's sled.

Creating a world of wonder out of our Christmas tree and making up stories for all of the ornaments that ofcourse came to life when we all went to bed.

The image of our house all lit from within as I came home from school in the winter dusk.
