Here is a clip of Barbra singing Gotta Move on the Bob Hope Show in 1963(See the pic to the left). She was promoting “The Second Barbra Streisand Album.” This is one of Barbra's best albums and one of my favorite songs. It's just SO 60's (which makes it especially BabFab.) It was written by her arranger Peter Matz. What a great time in her career, just beginning to really become a national sensation. She was so new and different and SCARY to some people. I mean, she wasn't Doris Day and croony. She was OUT there. I like to think that she was the Bjork of her day. The album features a treasure trove of Harold Arlen songs plus others and it definitely has a song cycle style to it. I also love the cover photo taken by Wood Kozumi in Chicago while Barb was getting a makeover by hairstylest Fred Glaser.

Anyplace she hangs her hat is home... another gem from The Bob Hope Show. This was at the same time she was out in L.A. and appeared on The Judy Garland show. Apparantly after she had made her appearance on Judy's show, her people decided that that was it. There was no way to top
the Garland appearance. She was nominated for an Emmy.
