I'm so talented...

Several years ago, I tried to make Betty Buckley laugh by getting her to sign her CD to me, “To Rob my only rival, Betty Buckley” and poor Betty didn't quite undertand or WANT to understand the joke and so very sweetly and oddly dreamily she suggested she sign it, “To Rob... you're so talented, Betty Buckley.”
Ok. So there. My friend Shannon pulled me aside and in her amazing Texas no bullshit drawl said, “that girl has just twelve stepped herself into a humorless stupor.”
Whether that was true or not, it was a hysterical aside. I told my friend Peggy, who is in town with the “Little Women” tour, the story to much guffawing.
So, tonight, I went down to see Peggy and to get Maureen McGovern (star of the show) to sign our “Poseiden Adventure” original movie poster. For those of you living under a rock, she made a huge debut hit with the theme song from that movie in the early 70's.
I was trying to think how she could sign it. Should she sign it upside down? Should she inscribe it, “Let's keep on looking for the light, Mo”?
So, I layed out the poster before her in her dressing room and she pulled out a sharpee to sign it (I love a sharpee). And then I looked at what Ms. McGovern wrote.
“To Rob and Jason, You're so talented. Maureen McGovern.”
Peggy burst out laughing. Maureen too. Ha, ha, HA!!!!
And scene.
